The idea of a man burning his own house over
his famerlies head is anuff to make us [frila?]
that they are cracked in thear upper story,
but yet it is eavers so. Give my love to all

and ready to fall in as quick as I receive
orders to do so. The wether is quite good hear
at present and has been so for the last 4 days
I ownly hope it will keep on so for we are
without tents and if it comes on wet we
will suffer. Where we are it is the levelest
land I ever saw. You can dig down in the ground
ownly one foot and you can find water making
it very damp. This is the reason the roads
is so bad, but I must close by hoping this
