Dear Father
I wish to inform you that I am well at present time and I also hope that these few lines may ding youns all in the Same and I let you know that I received your welcom letter last night and I was very glad to here from youns again and I was glat to here that you got that money all Safe and you want to know about Franklin Sings and I let you know that our captain aint here here now but I will go to him ad Soon as he comes back and will See about it till I wrote you again and I let you know that there is Some fighting going on here the battle commenced last Sunday and there was Some fighting every fay Sins  and they are trying to get to Maryland and Pennsylvania again but I think they wount of as was this Time as they did before for they have to fight the Six Corps this time before they get in but I let you know that we wasent in this fight yet, our Regiment aint with the corps now and the reason is because there is a grat many got the Small pox but they aint in out company year and now I would like to know if youns get any letters from Edwards or Harry of they dunt answer my letters but I think they dunt care much about me because me because I am fighting for old Abacham Lincoln he is a McClelan man he wrote to me once that we was fighting for the negros but Ill for give him becuse he dunt know no better and i want you to to let me know hoe the people are for Lincoln and I think I must come to a close for this time and writ Soon again and let me know all the new So much from your Sn
