                        Sir

                                                       In obedience to your
order, I have the honor of submitting the following
Report.
On Saturday the 13th inst. on our march
from Camp Dickinson to Charleston, the 36th Va. Regt, was
ordered to march in the rear, as a reserve to your
Command on that day.
On the march from Camp Dickinson to Charleston, nothing of
importance occurred with the 36th Regt.
We were halted in the upper part of Charleston, where we
remained a short time, and then recd. orders to march my
Regt. through Charleston to the hill at Col. Clarksons residence
near Elk River.  And whilst there, in Compliance with
an order, I detached a company from the Regt to
assist in extinguishing the fire there in Charleston.
We remained there by orders acting as a reserve, until
I recd. orders to march my Regt back through town
toward the mouth of Elk river, and was stopped near
that point, and remained there until after dark that
night, when in accordance to orders I marched my
Regt to Camp above Charleston.
I have no casualties to report.
             Verry Respectfully submitted
                                                 Your Obedt. Servt.
