I send you a small
bundle of candy which I
brought for little[S?] from
Richmond. I hope that the
dear little thing will enjoy it.
I am truly sorry that a visit
in the country will prevent
me from seeing you this
evening. it is highly probable,
that I will not return until
to-morrow morning.
I appreciate the [service] very
[p?] [things?] you sent to
me on yesterday, and only ask
for a continuance of the
same treatment.
I hope that you enjoyed
your visit to-day.
I am ashamed to send
this note to you but it
is the best that I can
do with this pen.
