To all whom it may Concern.  Know ye that Charles S. Powell, Jr

having this day reported for enrollment as a conscript to serve for the War, under the Laws of Congress of the C. S., he is hereby exempted from Military duty, on the ground of his

 

                being Deputy Marshall for Western Va.

 

Said                                         is             years of age,                            high,        hair,         eyes

Resides in the Winchester, Va                          and is by occupation
