We are ordered off a short distance only I believe, but as it is uncertain when we may return, please send me by the 1st opportunity one calico shirt, 1 pair of sock, 1 pair of drawers & 1 collar. Mr Harris can tell you how & when you can send them. Hoping to see you all again in a day or two I am

My new Haversack is breaking to pieces. If you have time, please get some new oil cloth & make me another like the last, (a little smaller) & send it when you can. Please remind Pa about the entry of that money he spoke of yesterday, on his bank book, as the books of the bank might be destroyed.
