        I received your kind
favour some time since in regard
to my Mothers condition. After returning
you my sincere thanks I will beg of
you to write again. Will you be
kind enough to answer the folowing [sic]
questions. To instance does she sleep
any more than she did at first? How
are the Carbuncles in her head?
Are they disposed to heal? Is she
still [very?] abusive and excitable? Haz [sic]
she ever suffered much pain from
her shoulder and arm? [Father?] expect-
ed she would get vey [sic] unmanageable
and would give her nurses a great
deal of trawble [sic] after keeping her
bed a few days and would probably
hurt herself again. Of course we
would be highly pleased to get
 
a favourable account, but if
it is to the reverse we want to
know it.  [Father?] said that tho
[report?] had gone out in your [?] [?]
Mrz [sic] [Whitlock?] of [Libby?] was deranged
again. I am glad to inform you that
it is not the case. She seems perfectly
devoted to the citizens of your town.
Have you seen Mr Procter the
[Presidential?] [Minister?]. He promised to
visit mother some times [sic]. I will [just?]
hear say that if at any time you
should want to write in haste in
reference to Mother it would be the
[quickest] way to direct to [Forest?]
Depot and one to [Emmauz? Emmaus?] at
the same time. By that means we
would be sure to get one. We only
have 2 mails a week at [Emmauz? Emmaus?],
but a daily one at the [Forrest?.]  I am
vey [sic] much in hopes it will be [convenient?]
for you to write vey [sic] soon [by?] day, so
[?] will greatly oblige.
