Sir,

Your letter of August 30th
and Septr. 6th, in relation to
furnishing mail facilities
for the Army of Kanawha, have
been received.  And in order
to receive such service as
may be necessary at the earli
-est period practicable, I
have this day directed
G.G. Lynch, a special agent
of this department, to repair
at once to your Head Quarters,
with full power, upon
consulation with you, to
make such arrangements as
will answer for that service
