        Dear Jinie deeming it a duty as well as a
privalige to wright to those of home I have always bin found
and knowing at the same time it would give them pleasure
to hear from me you wanted to know whether the rat with
the longest tail got in the the hole the quickest. I think that
the one with the shortest tail could get in the hole the quic
kest. I must bring my letter to a close for They are waiting
for me to wash the dishes. Give my love to Beck Furry and tell
her to mind this muddy weather and not fall down. Give

The borax in its rough state is called- tineal -
Pyrites Which is a Greek word signifying fire stone

             Camp Blair Fair fax Station

     Dear Sister it is with
pleasure that I can say to
you that I am well at
this time and hopeing

in bridgewater. we are all
getting along fine at this
time except the bad wea
ther it is raining now
I hope it will clear up
before long. we have had

Dear sister tis with plesure that i rite
you a few lines to let you know how i am geting
along. well i am Geting a long first rate.
sis ever time i look at that ring i think of
you. that ring gives me a great deal of plesure
and i want you to not greav after mee for i expect
to get home some of thies days and wee will

her armes. Tell her that i often think of

her to take my place in sunday school
