I certainly ought to apologize for the liberty I am taking in addressing you, but I cannot recollect any Gentleman from whom I could obtain such satisfactory information, whatever may the issue of the Statement which I beg leave to make.

I have had the honour of attending his R. H. the Duke of York's family above 4 yrs & a half, but I always considered myself as the Junior Physician to Dr. Warren & wished him to have the preference whenever he could attend or chose to attend. It is however, I believe, quite unprecedented for a Physician to attend so long as I have done without a underline warrant /underline, the consequence of which might be, very probably, that some person would obtain from his R. Highness for some other Physician
