Lady Charlotte Finch It always gives me pleasure to read your letters but I must Confess that the account of dear little Williams concern for the poor Duke has deletion added greatly /deletion addition made it if possible /addition still more agreable to say what satisfaction must not you feel Madam in seing your pains bestowed upon that little bud not quite lost it begins to strike a root, may God grant it to be a strong one, and the flower it bears may prove to be the pleasure of mankind.
Our anxiety is great about the Duke but no other accounts arrived as yet from Leghorn, this is what give me some hopes
