2d Nov 1810

In the deepest distress I am commanded by the Queen knowing Yours & your Sisters affection for us all to inform You that it has pleased the Almight to release our beloved Amelia from this world of suffering to a happier & a better the awful event took place at half past eleven this morning our only comfort is thinking hers is a blessed change, as we are certain patience & submission could not be stronger therefore we hope her reward will be great.

Yr Affe but sadly afflicted Elizabeth
