Whit.hall 16 Augt 1726.

Sir

As my Lord Townshend sends your Highness by this Missinger the King's patent for your Criations, I thought it proper to enclose the Key of the Box in this letter.

Your Highness will find an Altration in your patent from the Titles I had the honour to send your H. at first. instead of Marquis of the - Isle of Wight, it is now of the Isle of Ely. -- Lord Viscount Windsor, who had the Title of Lord Mountjoy of the Isle of Wight, laid claim to ye Title of that Island, wch tho' wrong founded, yet it was thought better to leave out a Title wch had the least Dispute, & put in another, wch being proper for the Royal Family was not at all litigated.

H.H.Prince Frederic.
