of Old prejudices could not be brought to regard Gold & silver in the light of Commoditys subject to be transported from one Country to another according to the demand for, & the profits to made of them, or to hear of a Clause to authorize such transportations even for this very necessary Service, tho convinc'd the Army could have been supply'd no other way, & that the projects they had been from time to time amuz'd with of furnishing every thing wanted from hence were Subject to so many impositions & inconvenience that they could not be rely'd upon.
