note Cap.44. 11th. /note Act for raising £2,000,000. on a fund for payment of Annuities at 8. per Cent & for settling the East India Trade
note Cap. 45 12th. /note An Act for taking away half ye. Duties on Glasswares, ye. Whole duties on Stone, Earthen Wares, & Tobacco pipes; & for granting new ones on Whalefins & Scotch linnen.
ye. 1st. of these Acts gave ye. Annuitants for one life, a further time to purchase ye. remaining term of 96. years formerly mentioned at 4. years purchase before ye. 25th. of March 1698. & to others in case ye. last did not accept ye. terms to purchase of ye. Same rate before ye. 10th. of April following & ye. said purchase money to be applied to discharge £255,665-5-8. due on ye. several Ann. in May 1697.
By ye. 6th. Act both Annuitants & others had ye. time of Purchase enlarged to ye. 1st. of Dec. 1968. ye. purchase money during this new term to be applied to pay ye. off reckonings of ye. Army for 1697. catchword ye. /catchword
