June 1701. & Commissioners with Salaries were appointed for licencing them unclear if ye. Commissioners of the Stamp Duty might not have executed this office.

By ye. 9th. ye. Duty on Lustrings & a la modes made or imported was rais'd from £2 to £4 per deletion unclear /deletion ^ addition underline pound /underline /addition weight from June 1698.

By ye. 10th. a 1s. Poll per quarter on all persons, deletion unclear /deletion ^ ^ addition the Paupers /addition excepted, with other exceptions under 16. years old; Gentlemen & Persons of ran paying the several larger Sums mentioned in the Bill; Upon this fund the King was enabled to borrow £500,000. the first moiety advanc'd at 7. the last at 8. per Cent; & by ye. Same Act deletion ye. K. /deletion addition the King /addition was enabl'd to borrow another £500,000. on ye. Coal duty at 7. per Cent for ye 1st. £100,000. & at 8. for ye. rest.
