1. ye. principal distinctions of Duty or Virtue

Private & Public system. From these it is evident yt. there are 3. classes of Duties, viz. and he owes to himself, Another to Society, & a third to his Creator.

Those to society arise from ye. social affections, ye. true proportions of which to ye. deletion Dangers, & /deletion addition wants of others /addition & to our several connections, we call Justice. this contains ye. whole of our Duty to addition Nature /addition deletion unclear /deletion ^ addition deletion Nature /deletion /addition & Society; particularly ye. social Virtues deletion of deletion addition viz. /addition gratitude Friendship Benevolence & c. Prudence & Fortitude are also of this Class, & as they are differently Situated may be call'd Private, Oeconomical or Civil, these shew us how to vet in regard to ye. lesser wants we are connected with
