foreign: French Je vien de Amelie, elle a le voie forte, se parle tres bien, et suer toujour, quoy que je trove que les yeus ne soit pas si rouge que hier, le prince mavait charge avec la comission pour des vecicatire, et pour cautre chose que votre amie veut, mais Sr Hanks, ma prie, pour lamour de dieu de voir le jour de main, le qui, a ausi fait dine, par amiens a le prince, le prince et moy, ne sont pas tranquile, le prince trove que votre amie, navais que trop de raison touchans la consulte, enfin ajee quelque pitie de moy, je suffer mort et passion, quoque Amelie ne sans auqune doulleur, me chere Klethon. /foreign

I come from Amely, her voice is strong, she speaks very well, & sweats continually, tho I find that her eys are not soe red as yesterday. the Prince chargd me with a commission for a blister & for the other thing which your freind would have but Sr. Hans has begd for God sake that I would see him to morrow, & has told the Prince of it by Amiens. the Prince & I hare not at all easy. the Prince has found that your freind had but too much reason on his side as to the consultaion. in short have some pity for me I suffer death & anguish, tho' Amely is not in any pain, my dear Clayton.
