on me. They sent him off
and left me in the
bed without out a nurse.
I left rock Alum springs
on Sunday february the 16th
1862 and started for stanton
hospital. I walked to millbor
ough a distance of 5 miles.
I stayed at the alum springs
4 months and eleven days.
I took the cars at millborough
half past five o clock monday
evening and arrived at stanton
near 8:o clock that night.
This was the 17th day of February.
On the following Sunday

I attended preaching at the
roman catholic church and
also at the Lutheran church.
One of the greatest curiositys
of Stanton is the deaf dumb
and blind asylum where the
blind are taught to read.
I left Stanton the 7th day of
March at 2 o:clk on the stage
for Winchester. We arrived at
Harrisonburg a bout dark and 
stopped there half an hour for
supper. We got to mount Jackson
about 1:oclk from there to Strsburg.
I traveled on the cars. We arrived
at Strasburg at 3:oclk and at
4 took the stage for Winchester.
I arrived at Winchester half past 8
