I am to acknowledge Yours of 21st and recollect all your remarks from Weymouth which unfortunately have proved but too true: this is enough upon so unpleasant a business:

I hope shortly you will be with us and I shall be happy to show you the farm and improvements since last year: the rain has not injured any sheep for I am now only lambing down: I think you will be pleased with what you will see.
