My beloved Adolphus

I cannot express the joy I feel at your happiness and the Dutchess and the Dear little boy being so well. How kind of you my Dearest to write to me soon. I thank you for it with all my heart and I pray God underline this /underline and every other blessing unclear unclear to you as most truly underline deserving of it /underline.

I am sadly grieved and disappointed at poor Williams loss - but I trust in Gods mercy that Adelaide may be spared They are so happy and William is so sincerely attached to Her that it would be a most serious Private as well as Public distress. He has written me a letter which does the greatest honour to both his head and Heart which are Excellent.
