I am glad the party at the Upper Lodge went off so well and George writes as most perfectly satisfied with Law and those under him. I make no doubt I shall find the House in perfect order on my return and the Park and Farm going on well under your directions. I am glad you have had at last rain and probably you will have more than enough. But it was much wanted.
We have had wet: but hitherto it has not prevented our usual walks. I conceive we shall remain here till 11th July that the Dutchess and
