Windsor. Decr. 25th. 1803

The King has this morning unclear Mr Secretary Yorke's Note accompanied by the Letter from The Earl of Derby unclear the application of the Colonels of the Regiments of Lancashire militia that they may be allowed in future to bear in the Colours of their Perfection Regiments the Red Rose, the Antient Badge of the County Palantine. The Zeal shewn by this Corps, of the unclear Personal attachment of that Country, to the Kings Person makes Him most willingly consent to this Distinction, which they most fully deserve.

George R.
