that appeared in every Countenance; the Richness of the Cloaths, the elegant Patterns of the Silks, & their vast variety; the Profusion of Jewels, the Beauty of the Ladies, set off by all that Art & Elegance, assisted by Wealth, could furnish; displayed a Scene so grand and so enchanting, that some of the Spectators have declared they could scarce forbear imagining themselves transported to Fairy Land.

If you are still at my Cousin Sanders's, I beg you will have my Compliments to her, and to ye Family. & many thanks for all Civility there: if you are so little of a Rake as to be got home again, pray let me be most kindly remembered to all friends at Duffield: & also to dear Mr. Thackray whenever you or your Papa may chance to see him. My Sister desires her Respect to you & to my Cousins, and I am with great truth & sincerity
