Bushy House. Jany: 6th: 1830.

Dear Madam,

My daughter Mary being gone early this morning to my son's the Clergyman has requested me to answer the letter she yesterday recieved from Your Ladyship which I do with sincere pleasure as it gives an opportunity of recalling myself to all the inhabitants of Bersted Lodge.

The Dutchess last Sunday began to mend and has been since then in her Drawing Room but is still not allowed to go farther. She desires her best love & Compliments to Your Ladyship and Mrs: Smith. But this severe weather is against all invalids.
