Sir

The King continued cheerful and tranquil throughout the whole of yesterday. His Majesty did not sleep any part of it, but got four hours and a half of almost uninterrupted rest in the night. His Majesty is remarkably well this morning, and gives the promise of another excellent day.

I am, Sir, most respectfully your Royal Highness' faithful Servant

Henry Halford.
