To Her late Majesty's Council

The King passed another day very quietly yesterday. His Majesty conversed in a kind and natural tone of voice, and His manner throughout the day was free from irritation. Whilst we rejoice, however, in bearing witness to the present mild character of His Majesty's disorder, we feel it our duty to state that the disorder itself remains undiminished. The eccentricities of His Majesty's conduct, and the singular delusions of His mind, prevail with as much force at this time as at any period of His lamented indisposition. His Majesty slept four hours uninterruptedly last night, and is very tranquil this morning.
