My Place in this Procession was as I was now informed, to be immediately underline before /underline The underline Silver Stick /underline in Waiting.

During The Time Their Majesties were in the Drawing Room, I waited in the Order Room adjoining to it, where I was introduced to several of underline The Family /underline, General Budé &c. & from there I received much congratulation on My New Appointment.

At the Drawing Room I saw among many other of My Acquaintance Lady Payne but at too great a distance to speak to Her. She was in Her usual good looks, & was much admired by all Except one Great Personage which certainly gives good reason to call his taste much in question. -----

I was greatly surprized to find that Their Majesties did not go to the Play this Evening & of which I had received Official Notice the day before.
