Oct 27th. So far wrote Yesterday when Mary sent for me to show Her Garden to some Company who came unexpectedly and although She is quite well and walks much better than last year She is not quite as .... on Her feet as I am She deputed me to walk where Her little Garden Chair cannot get access to. It is a constant pleasure to see this lovely place improve so fast. I fact it only wanted the Woods to be cleared when the Duke of Gloucester got the place many years ago but as unclear is His Greatest Object here He naturally simply attended to what would increase Shelter for ....... Now within these ten years Mr Curry has Cleared the Ground which was in a very bad State, taken down frightfull hedges, but..... to fell Trees, by taking down dead ones and now the Park is getting neat, and after a Couple more years of Attention it will be laid down again before the H..... The flower Garden is really unique. The Duke of Gloucester gave Mary a piece of a Wood with Magnificent fruit Trees. and with Mr Currys taste He has made all the Walks to lead to these fine Objects and out away a load of Unadorned which has really now made it without any comparison the most Perfect flower Garden in the Kingdom of England, Ireland and Scotland.
