H:My. now related to Me parts of the Conversation He had had with the Chancellor this Morning - He intimated that He had mention'd the Parliament to Him, but slightly - the Chancellor had asked Him, if He was not anxious about Parliament, & that He had told Him, underline "He was anxious "but not curious at present" /underline He then told Me that it was his Wish to keep quiet, as things were now going on so well. & that He was recovering so fast -- I expressed my satisfaction, at hearing Him say this, & to know that He was resolved to be patient & prudent, & I desired H.My would believe Me when I said, that underline his Salvation depended on the resolve - /underline He took this with great good humour & said with Earnestness underline "Believe Me I have no Child's play before Me, but all will do well by degrees" /underline

If passing shades have appeared during parts of this Walk, they have been so soften'd off by what succeeded, & have become so faint from what they have been, that it would not be fair to lay much stress upon Them at this time but more just to consider Them, as mists dispersing fast before Sunshine -- Still I think I so not deceive Myself, when I deem the present, as the period of the nicest management, for H.My, Every thing is going on prosperously, & nearly as well as they can be, but if He is hurried on to business, or brought forward too soon, all may still relapse, & become confusion -
