Ended tho' there are those who have queried whether future trouble may not arrive from this concession at such a moment, when the Physicians should have Established their Authority --
The King retired to his Bedchamber followed by Sir George Baker & Two of his Pages, where He continued long with Them -- & all from want of firmness and a proper & decided system, returned directly into the same agitated & perplexed train of commands, which had been so constant throughout this day -- The King certainly did not feel Himself got the better of the late struggle, & therefore He still aimed at Authority, which He seem'd conscious was not lost, tho' it had been impeded --
Towards 10 oClock at Night Sir George Baker returned again to The King's Apartment, but his presence rather increased the difficulties of all around, as He was partial & undecided -- Indeed the general conduct of the Physicians has not been so decided or firm, as the occasion of their Attendance has required - They appear to shrink from responsibility & to this time they have not Established their Authority tho' pressed by Every Attendant -
The consequence has been, that too much has been left by indecision, underline to the chance /underline of proper & correct conduct ^ addition of those /addition who from time to time have happend to be near The Kings Person, when any Exertions have been called for.
I am clearly of opinion on that ^ addition if /addition His Majestys Physicians would arrange & made known proper & decided regulations
