underline Thursday Decr. 4th. /underline This Morning having passed a bad Night & with very little Sleep, (& this at short Intervals) appeared by no means better. He refused to get up & on being pressed He defended Himself by gathering up his feet & then darting Them forward with violence agst. those who pressed on Him -- The controul of H.My. having been hitherto with his Pages He gradually became more displeased with their Interference & latterly He at times resisted Them mischeivously --

Parts of this day (as it happens not unfrequently) have been passed by H.My. in tolerable composure - & which continued during most of the Night, but sound & undisturbed Sleep was still wanting --

In the course of this day His Majesty saw another of his Physicians viz Dr. Gisborne, for the first time since his Illness -- As soon as He saw Him He instantly recollected Him, & was glad to see Him -- In the course of his Conversation with Dr. Gisborne He mentioned Dr. Arnold one of the Canons of Windsor to whom The King had once been partial, but who had suddenly like Himself gone wrong.

It seems that Dr. Gisborne had attended Dr Arnold under his Afflicting Malady when it first appeared - The King recollecting this said to Dr. Gisborne, that He hoped He did
