Friendship and Affection after Years of expectation and desire are opened to my wishes the Person of high Rank & Dignity Mirza Abul Hassan having been sent from the Kings august Presence to the Court of England I thought it proper to seize this opportunity of writing to my honored Sister to express the ardent desire I feel for a more intimate and a personal acquaintance I further beg leave to add with the Pen of affection that as my letter should not reach your Majesty without being accompanied by some small mark of Friendship a few articles according to the inclosed list are sent by the above dignified Mirza. I hope your Majesty will shut your eyes upon deletion and kindly /deletion their unworthiness and kindly honor me by your acceptance of them - will your Majesty be pleased at all times to keep up the warmth of attachment between us by the constant intercourse of friendly letters. What more shall I say? May the days of friendship be of everlasting duration
