A Parlia. was summon'd in 1283 at Acton Burnell where ye. Statute of yt. name was made. Another Parlia. met this year at Westminster, where ye. Statutes call'd Westminster ye. Second were made, & ye. Statute entitled Circumspecte agatis.

ye. K. went to France for three years, during his absence a Parlia. was held at London in 1288, where Ld. Treasurer, Kirby demanded an aid by ye. K. order for ye. charges in France. But they refus'd to grant anything unless ye. K was present ye. K returned in 1289 & call'd a Parlia. to reform several abuses yt. had krept in his absence.

ye. Judges were fin'd, but two for extortions, & from this time ye. Judges were oblig'd to take an oath against taking anything from ye. parties except a breakfast.

An act propos'd at ye. same Parlia. for banishing ye. Jews: all their ^ addition immovable /addition goods were confiscated, ye. Parlia. granted ye. K. a fifteenth for this service.

ye. Statute call'd Westminster ye. third was enacted at that time.

ye. K. summon'ed a Parlia. to meet at Westminster in 1294. where he aquainted them of ye. loss of Guienne. It was unanimously agreed yt. ye. Dutchy should be recover'd by ye. force of arms.

He call'd a Parlia. to meet at Westminster in 1295 where he lay'd before them a secret alliance between Scotland & France, upon which they granted him ye. eleventh part of their goods, ye. Clergy ye. tenth, & ye. Merchants ye. seventh.
