Later as family discusses about the interiors of Vanraj's cafe, Kavya manipulates Pakhi against Anupamaa when she gets late to teach her dance. Completely influenced by Kavya Pakhi misbehaves with Anupamaa,Vanraj,Samar and Kinjal. While Kavya challenges Anupamaa for a dance faceoff after an argument with Samar,the latter reluctantly agrees on his insistence. Though Anupamaa emerges as winner but she declares Kavya as winner on seeing her forceful behaviour with Pakhi. Kavya again uses this to manipulate Pakhi. Later she taunts Vanraj over Cafe's name, menu and customer preferance but gets a taste of her own language by Anupamaa,Samar, Nandini and Kinjal.

Surprised, Anupamaa and Paritosh leave for the resort while Kavya, Nandini and Samar stay at home in case Vanraj returns. Anupamaa and Vanraj decide to accompany Leela to her mother's place where they explore their friendship. Nandini expresses her love for Samar and they spend some romantic time together. When Anupamaa and Vanraj return, they catch Samar and Nandini together and Vanraj raise allegations about their relationship. He refuses to accept their relationship, but Samar, who intends to marry Nandini, brings her home, infuriating Vanraj. Vanraj and Kavya get into a heated argument during which an infuriated Vanraj breaks all ties with Kavya before meeting with a deadly accident.

First It is vanraaj and his overly dramatic rude arrogant mother. Next it was the useless paritosh and paakhi. Saman then the ugly kaavya crow and Naagin dave. Each and everyone except sanan and baapuji are bent upon disrespecting and insulting anupama. Baapuji too did his mistake by never taking stand for his DIL during the 25 years where she was mentally tortured. He should had taken stand and filed a case against them maybe this family would have been much better.

Later Pakhi orders a plenty amount of food for her friends from Vanraj's cafe and waste more than half of food. To which she gets scolded by Anupamaa,Samar and Leela while Vanraj and Kavya support her thus making her more spoilt. When Samar confronts her for this she hurts him and pretend before Paritosh that it was Samar who hit her thus ensuring the fight between the brothers. Later Samar prints pamphlets for Vanraj and they start distributing them on road infuriating Rakhi, Paritosh and Kavya. Later even Rakhi and Kavya insults whole family along with Paritosh and questions Anupamaa's character to which they get a stern warning and befitting reply by the latter. Later on Anupamaa start ignoring Vanraj, Kavya, Paritosh and Pakhi due to her previous insults.

She brings in a live-in house-helper, Geeta, who is arrogant and indiscipline. Kavya tells Geeta only to work for her and Vanraj, and not the rest of the Shahs. Seeing that Kavya is trying to part the family using Geeta, Anupamaa politely asks Geeta to leave, infuriating Kavya. Vanraj does not apologise to Anupamaa and decides to stay at the resort until he reaches a decision about their divorce. Anupamaa falls unconscious and is rushed to the clinic where Vanraj learns that she is suffering from a tumour in her ovary from Advait.
