Camp Tennallytown D.C Feb 12th 1862
Dear Pa & Ma,
With pleasure to me I let you know
that your letter was received by me
today and having a few moments to spare I improve
them by writing to you. I am glad to hear that you
received my likeness and I am glad that you like
it. I received a letter from John yesterday. He writes
that Anna Louisa is in New York.  I wrote a letter
to him the day I wrote to you and the leter had
$10.00 in it, but he writes that he did not get it
up to the date he wrote his letter which was on the
7th. I do not feel as yet uneasy about the money as
he hardly had time to get it. I will write to him
tomorrow that is if I do not get an answer to it.
I have sent in all to John (if he [gites] this last
$10.00) $55.00 and if eney of that money is in the bank
you tell Pa to tell him to draw as much as he may
of it for Anna wedding. He told me he put some of
the money in the bank. This last $10.00 I will give
do share for your self. I am seary to hear
that you are not verry smart. You must not over
task your self by working to hard fer if you do
the result will be a tick bed.  I would like
to write more, but I have not got the time as
I have got to go and draw the coffee and sugar
for the Co. I will answer Henery letter in a little
wile. Tell him I send my best wishes and regards
to him and I am much pleased to hear from him.
Hoping this will find you all as well as it leaves
me. I will close by sending love to you all
