Mr. Nicol is employed in the Arrangement & Valuation of the Library, but some time will be required before he can complete it; a large Proportion of Books removed from the Castle to Frogmore not being yet catalogued.The Instructions given to Mr. Nicol are subjoined & will apply equally to the Books at The Queen's Palace, being chiefly those left by the late Mrs. Schwellenberg to Her Majesty.

All these Valuations are made upon the Principle of fixing that Price to each Article, at which it might be sold, if Their Royal Highnesses should chuse to dispose of them; and possibly some of the Articles may appear to be rated very low, but this Principle applies
