Gunnersbury, May ye 31 1773

Sir

I Shoul'd not have presumed troubling your Majesty, with this letter, If I had not thought it was more more respectful & even more agreable to your Majesty not to have it go through other hands that Cannot feel what ye Family do's feel - upon ye repeated misfortunes that have befallen them. The inclosed letter came her this morning, what it Contains I do not know, but I humbly Submit it to your Majesty. I can not conclude without expressing my Joy & Satisfaction in ye happy prospect your Majestry has in your promising Family, & shall ever be with the greatest respect,
