14. The Revenue of Treasure Trove from the French Word trouvé to find, this consists of Money, Gold, Silver, Plate or Bullion, found hidden, the owners thereof unknown.

15. This Branch is Waiss from Waviata, which are Goods stolen & wav’d or thrown away by the Thief in his flight, for fear of being taken; these are given to the King by Law to punish the Owner for not pursuing the Thief himself.

16. This Consists of Estrays, or Creatures wandering in any Manour, the owner unknown, they now commonly belong to the Lord of the Manour by Antient Grants.

N.B. Forfeitures in general, Royal Fish, Rex, Treasure Trove, Waifs, Mines, & Estrays, have been for the Most part granted to the Lords of the Manours, or other Libertys contrary to their original design, & to the Impovrishment of the Revenue of the Crown.
