yt. Subordination is regular, when defensive passions are proportional to our danger; ^ addition when /addition ye. private passions, ^ addition underline are proportion'd /underline /addition to our wants; & ^ addition when /addition ye. publick affections adopted to our connections, & proportion'd to ye. wants & dangers of others. This last Branch is differently express'd then ye. two first, yt. it may include our most important duty, viz. yt. to ye. Author of our Nature, who is Supremely happy & perfect, & consequently can have no wants to supply, & cannot be hurt by any change.

We call ye. natural State, or ye. sound vigourous constitution of any creature, or ye. just Oeconomy of its Powers, its Health & perfection, & ye. acting agreably to these, it Virtue or Goodness. therefore Man's health & perfection deletion unclear in /deletion addition deletion unclear /deletion addition lies /addition in ye. subordination /addition of his passion to ye.
