From what has been said it appear yt. man is made for a temperate, benevolent, active & Progressive State; yt. he is greatly attracted to what is good, & repulsed from ye. contrary; yt. he approves those action yt. respect ye. good of others, & disapproves ye. reverse. Besides these he has particular perceptions, tho' not of ye. same kind, yt. have degrees of affection propotion'd to their tendencies to ye. Publick good. We call a thing good when it answers ye. End propos'd, & a creature so, when he acts agreable to his constitution. Therefore yt. Man his Virtuous or good, who act suitable to deletion his dignity /deletion addition ye. principles /addition & destination of his Nature. His Dignity & Perfection will also be found there.
