Who answered, that they were not slaves to the English but that him, his fore-Fathers, & his present Generation were English, and my Father Likewise informed them that the English do, & always have paid him ^ addition annually, /addition for the Rent of the Land, besides sending him other Considerable Presents, so that the English Live by Us, & We by Them.
