I have this morning received Yours of 12th instant and its' various enclosures. I return the proper papers signed.

You surprize me that the order is not yet arrived for painting the Outside of Bushy House. I am glad things are selling from the Garden. I think underline you /underline were underline right /underline in remaining for dinner at the house but underline Augustus /underline decidedly underline wrong /underline. However let the matter rest as my object is if possible to keep this underline obstinate /underline young man out of harm's way. I do not believe he is underline naturally /underline inclined to excess
