Windsor Castle

April 20 1815.

Sir

That eagerness of manner and loudness of voice which had been observed in His Majesty the preceding day, subsided entirely yesterday, and His Majesty recovered His usual calmness and tranquillity. His Majesty slept almost three hours in the course of the day, and fout hours and a half last night. He is occupied this morning, as in His Majesty's most comfortable state, in making appointments, conferring titles, and planning wild impracticable schemes of amusement.

I am, Sir, most respectfully your Royal Highness' faithful Servant

Henry Halford.
