Sir

The King has not xperienced any material interruption of that state of tranquillity and calmness which we reported yesterday, tho' we observed from time to time more elevation of voice, and more earnestness in His Majesty's manner of giving orders to the people whom He fancied to be surrounding Him. Nor did His Majesty sleep in the course of the day, but He slept two hours at once last night, and is now asleep in His chair.

I am, Sir, most respectfully,

your Royal Highness' faithful

Servant

Henry Halford

Windsor Castle
