Sir

The King slept almost four hours immediately before His Majesty's usual hour of retiring to rest, and notwithstanding this, three hours without interruption in the night.

His Majesty was on the whole perfectly quiet yesterday, but He spoke frequently in a high tone of voice, yet without anger, on the usual subjects on which He has dwelt during His delusion.

I am, Sir, most respectfully your Royal Highness' faithful Servant

Henry Halford
