Sir

The King pass'd a great part of yesterday in sleep - having slept nearly six hours in the course of the day. We were not surprised therefore this morning to learn that His Majesty had not slept more than half an hour in the night.

His Majesty is engaged this morning in reviewing troops, and making various appointments, and seems to be contented and happy.

I am, Sir, most respectfully your Royal Highness' faithful Servant

Henry Halford
