Sir

The King slept from one oclock till four this morning, and His Majesty is now asleep in His chair. His Majesty slept two hours and a half yesterday, and pass'd the whole day in perfect tranquillity and contentment, if we except that momentary impatience which His Majesty is in the habit of shewing on the occasion of being conducted from room to room.

I am, Sir, most respectfully your Royal Highness' faithful Servant

Henry Halford
