Sir

The King did not disclose any impatience in any part of yesterday. His Majesty passed the whole day in a state of uninterrupted tranquillity and happiness. We trust we do not misuse this term - for all the imagery which His Majesty's disorder suggested to His mind appear'd to be of the most cheerful nature, and His Majesty gave Himself up to it entirely. His Majesty slept two hours and a half yesterday, and three hours and a half in the night.

I am, Sir, most respectfully your Royal Highness' faithful Servant

Henry Halford
