April 6. 1815.

Sir

The King continues in a state of tranquillity and contentment. His Majesty talks in a very cheerful manner, and makes appointments and arrangements all day long, without the slightest apparent consciousness of His disorder'd condition of mind.

His Majesty slept nearly two hours yesterday and three hours and a quarter last night.

I am, Sir, most respectfully your Royal Highness' faithful Servant

Henry Halford
